1. Information we use
Game Caption uses limited data required for the app to function. The core purpose of the app is to detect subtitles on a game screen through the device camera and translate that text into Turkish.
- Camera access: Used to detect subtitles on the game screen.
- Detected text: May be used to generate translations.
- Subscription status: Subscription information provided by the App Store may be used to check whether Premium access is active.
- Support communication: If you email us, we process your email address and message content so we can respond.
2. How camera images are used
Camera permission is required only so the app can see and detect subtitles. Game Caption does not use camera images for advertising, profiling or tracking.
- Camera images are not permanently stored by the app.
- Camera images are not used to identify the user.
- You can manually select the subtitle area for better results.
3. Translation process
The app may process text detected from subtitles in order to generate a translation. Depending on the translation engine used, detected text may be sent to a third-party translation service over a secure connection.
The purpose of this process is only to produce a translation. Game Caption does not use subtitle text to profile gaming habits or for targeted advertising.
4. Payments and Premium subscription
Premium purchases are managed through the App Store. The Game Caption website and app do not directly collect your credit card information. Subscription cancellation, renewal and payment management are handled through your Apple account.
5. Data retention
Game Caption aims not to store personal data that is not required for the app to work. If you send a support request, email correspondence may be retained for a reasonable period so we can respond and follow up.
