Get the best experience with Game Caption.

Quick help for subtitle detection, camera permission, translation quality and Premium subscriptions.

Setup

  • Place your phone or tablet so it can see the TV or monitor.
  • Select the subtitle area as tightly and clearly as possible.
  • Reduce glare if there is reflection on the screen.
  • For best results, keep the phone stable.

Camera permission

If the camera does not open, check camera permission for Game Caption in iOS Settings.

  • Go to Settings > Game Caption and enable Camera.
  • Close and reopen the app.
  • If permission still does not work, restart your device.

Translation quality

OCR and translation quality may vary depending on subtitle size, contrast, camera angle, internet connection and on-screen motion.

  • Select only the area where the subtitle appears.
  • Try to keep the phone parallel to the screen.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Premium translation mode may provide more natural results.

Premium and subscriptions

Premium purchases, cancellations and restore actions are managed through the App Store.

  • Use “Restore Purchases” inside the app to restore an existing purchase.
  • To cancel a subscription, go to iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
  • This website does not process payments.
