Quick solutions for iOS and Android.

Setup and camera permission

• Place the phone or tablet parallel to and stable in front of the TV or monitor.
• Select only the subtitle area and reduce glare and movement.
• iOS: Settings > Game Caption > Camera.
• Android: Settings > Apps > Game Caption > Permissions > Camera.

The camera image is processed on the device for OCR; no photo, video, or audio recording is uploaded to the backend.

Translation quality and availability

OCR and translation quality can be affected by subtitle size, contrast, camera angle, internet connection, and on-screen motion. Gemini-powered translation requires internet access.

• Three free Android games: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), Grand Theft Auto V, and Resident Evil 9: Requiem.
• Those three games have no per-user word quota or paywall.
• If a global cost or safety limit is reached, free translation may be temporarily unavailable. Try again later; this is not a purchase requirement.
• Premium AI includes 20,000 and Professional 40,000 Gemini words per day.

Voice Translation

iOS: System Voice and the existing optional bundled on-device Natural Voice are available. The user-key DeepL option is also iOS-specific.

Android: Only the device's system Text-to-Speech engine is used. DeepL, Studio Voice, and Natural Voice are not yet available on Android; Natural Voice is planned as coming soon. Studio Voice is not used for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019).

Android does not upload text or audio recordings for voice generation.

40-minute preview and subscriptions

When this feature is enabled on Android and the eligibility conditions are met, users can try Professional features once for 40 minutes. An offered preview does not reset daily, is not a purchase, and does not automatically start a subscription.

• iOS: Use “Restore Purchases” in the app. Cancel under iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• Android: Manage or cancel under Google Play > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
• Deleting the app, account, or data does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
• This website does not process payments.

Delete Android account and data

In the Android app, open Settings > Privacy and Data > Delete account and Android data. The app verifies ownership of the anonymous Firebase account with Firebase Authentication and a limited-use App Check token.

Open deletion steps

If the app is unavailable, use the email method on the web page and, if available, the Support ID beginning with GC-A-. A Support ID is not proof of ownership by itself.

When contacting support

• Device model and operating-system version.
• Game platform and when the issue started.
• For Android, the Support ID if available; state whether the request is for iOS or Android.
• Do not send a payment card, store password, raw purchase token, App Check/Firebase token, or another secret.

Cloudflare Email Routing is active; the support message is forwarded to a private Microsoft-hosted mailbox. We target deletion within 30 days after the request closes. Only the minimum required record may be retained longer for law, security, fraud, payment, or disputes.
